Buy Back GME 2018

buy back gme 2018 news 1

GME and Marine Pan Service renew for 2018 the Buy Back GME Campaign, for the replacement of used EPIRB of any brand or model.

Who does the Buy Back GME campaign target?

Buy Back GME 2018 n.1

After 4 years that the EPIRB has been put into service, the Italian regulations provide for the replacement of the EPIRB or the battery, even if the expiry date of the battery stamped on the device is later.

For further information please refer to the SBM procedure in our glossary, where the second paragraph explains why it would be advisable to replace the EPIRB instead of the battery alone.

This is the sixth consecutive year that the GME Buy Back Campaign has been revalidated, which testifies to the success of this operation and the strong appreciation of users for this initiative.

The GME campaign is valid for any brand or model of EPIRB to be scrapped. The value of the used is evaluated regardless of the brand or type of used returned and is only dependent on the GME model purchased.

The Buy Back GME campaign is available from the best nautical retailers.
