Buy Back GME 2014

buy back gme 2014 news 1

GME and Marine Pan Service renew for 2014 the Buy Back GME Campaign, for the replacement of used EPIRB of any brand or model.

Who does the Buy Back GME campaign target?

Buy Back GME 2014 n.1

After 4 years that the EPIRB has been put into service, the Italian regulations provide for the replacement of the EPIRB or the battery, even if the expiry date of the battery stamped on the device is later.

For further information please refer to the SBM procedure in our glossary, where the second paragraph explains why it would be advisable to replace the EPIRB instead of the battery alone.

In the wake of the success of the Buy Back GME 2013 campaign, the Buy Back campaign is re-evaluated for the whole of 2014. The conditions remain the same as in the previous marketing year, except for a small price difference due simply to the switch of VAT to 22%.

The GME campaign is valid for any brand or model of EPIRB to be scrapped. The value of the used is evaluated regardless of the brand or type of used returned and is only dependent on the GME model purchased.

The Buy Back GME campaign is available from the best nautical retailers.

Why choose EPIRB GME

Buy Back GME 2014 n.2

Australia is the largest user base for this technology, as EPIRB is mandatory for even the smallest vessels.
GME, besides being the undisputed leader in EPIRB sales, has been able to experiment its technology in its territory for a long time, where the greatest rigour and standard for the safety of man's life at sea is imposed.

In 2004, GME was the first to introduce digital control into EPIRB technology, resulting in greater reliability, autonomy and performance.
Today's most discerning competitors have also achieved this technology, but GME now has a 10-year track record through which the technology has been carefully refined.
