The popular Piranha series is the one that most characterizes the originality of Bluefin LED production.
A series that 10 years ago, at its debut, received particular interest because it was introducing the new "surface mount" installation mode, which allowed the headlamp to be installed by drilling a hole of only 16mm.
Today Piranha, after 10 years of experience and optimization, is dressed up in new further concepts with the introduction of the new P4 series.
The P4 series comes in the entry level range and thus stands alongside the P3 series, but introducing new techniques and more different proposals within the same series.
The P4 series in fact features two sub-series, the Polymer and the HI-POWER.
The Polymer represents a real novelty for the Piranha series, being constructed of sturdy polymer and not bronze. Presenting a much lighter structure, it is more versatile especially in the installation stages and is distinguished by not being subject to the abrasion of galvanic currents.
It also possesses the advantage of costing less and possessing a robustness approaching that of bronze, thanks to Bluefin LED's known bold construction techniques.
The HI-POWER is the series that goes further in performance to near brightnesses of the P6 series (2750 lumens). It comes in two construction versions, one in classic bronze, the other in aluminum to better meet the need of those who have a keel of this same material.
In contrast to the Polymer series, the HI-POWER also presents the well-known Dual Color version, where unlike the other models, the 4 LEDs double to become 8 in total, this allows us to still have 4 LEDs even if we are using only one color.
The new P4 series is looking to the future, which is when Bluefin LED will have completed a special communication hub that will allow an exchange of information between the lights to implement better diagnostics and make light games easier.
Well the P4 series is already ready to interface with this hub, which should be available in July 2024.
In the P4 series, there is no shortage of all the tricks that have made the Piranha series so popular, such as the patented X-Beam technology that can create a perfect 60-degree beam with no shadow areas, thus making a more faithful and realistic background scene. There is also active thermal control, Hydro Block technology, reverse polarity protection and a protective layer to prevent sea vegetation.
The Piranha P4 series will be available in our warehouses starting this late April 2024 and available at top marine retailers.
