10 years for an electronic instrument is now a very long life. In this article we try to explain the reasons for its longevity.

The Nav-Station 11 VCam was born from a project of the highest level based on a careful study of the real needs of navigation. Today, unfortunately, projects in this direction no longer exist, we try more to draw on smartphones and tablets to recreate an interface that is familiar to the user. Although this principle is right in itself, all too often today we are faced with nautical GPSs that do not have the necessary navigation capabilities. Whoever goes to sea not only on Sundays knows what we're talking about.

On this point Nav-Station was one of the first nautical GPS production companies that first clarified its position and we refer you to the following article:
Smartphone on Boat
In this article we expected an increasingly massive presence of smartphones and tablets on board and we had shown how a nautical GPS dedicated to this feature should differentiate.

Today the market is undoubtedly rewarding Nav-Station and the confirmation comes from the sale of the last batch of Nav-Station VCam occurred with a unique speed for a high-end Nautical GPS.

However, although the prerogatives of the 11 VCam are still so sought after today, there is no doubt that the definition of its screen (480 x 640 pixels) is now a bit limiting and that is why today the witness passes to the Nav-Station 11 Panorama, which includes all the features of the 11 VCam, but with the addition of a Super VGA display.

The Nav-Station 11 Panorama costs the public 2,672.00 Euros including VAT and is now the 11-inch reference of the Nav-Station line.
