GME MT606G Manual EPIRB with AIS

MT606G GME

The MT606G is a next-generation manual EPIRB that integrates with the AIS system to improve your detection in rescue.

Description

The MT606G is the long-awaited new generation manual EPIRB produced by GME according to the new provisions of IMO circular MSC471. In fact, the MT606G integratesAIS, which is the device in the core of the worldwide system for maritime coordination GMDSS.

Through AIS, the position of the shipwrecked person will not only be visible at the rescue coordination center, but will be visible to all ships (obliged to be equipped withAIS) and to all vessels that have installed at least one AIS receiver. Today with the MT606G, if you need rescue, you will certainly no longer be alone in the middle of the sea!

The positioning system used is a GNSS type and takes advantage of both the European Galileo and GPS system satellites. For signaling the distress message to COSPA-SARSAT also uses the new MEOSAR satellite constellation, which allows the position of the shipwrecked person to be detected even before theEPIRB signal reaches the coordination center.

Of course, there is no shortage of all those prerogatives that have always distinguished GME EPIRBs, such as high-intensity strobing, self-heating of electronic components ("Zero warm-up"), and a simple and immediate self-test procedure that allows the correct operation to be verified within seconds.

The MT606G complies with the new IMO MSC471 resolution.
