Scout Marine Antennas - New for 2014

The KS-50 introduces the innovative Scout Fast Fit system that offers the possibility to disconnect the antenna at any time and with extreme simplicity. To disconnect it is sufficient to act on a special nut and after unscrewing the cable connector. To prevent water from penetrating inside, the coupling is provided with special gaskets that hold inside a SO 259 connector connected to the antenna.

So with extreme simplicity is solved the not uncommon problem of having to disconnect the antenna and decide what to do with the connected cable, whether to cut it and then insanely rejoin, or pull it out to the VHF.

The KS-50 is a 1.5 m antenna with 3db gain built with Scout's exclusive techniques that allow for better performance and longer life. Thanks to the Fast Fit system, the KS-50 is the flagship of Scout's VHF antennas and is therefore intended for the most attentive and demanding yachtsman.

In cases where the installed antenna is longer than two meters or the boat is able to reach high speeds or the area where we use the boat is particularly windy, it is necessary to install the antenna on a sufficiently strong base.

The Scout PA-30 has been carefully designed to meet these needs. It is made of AISI 316 steel and can be easily removed by simply releasing the handle.

In most antenna installations it is necessary to pass the cable outwards, but any hole we make needs to be specially sealed.

The Scout PA-5 is a rubberized cable gland that helps seal the cable passage. Fits 6 mm cables (type RG-58).
