In order to simplify the possibility of using some GMDSS devices for the captains of fishing vessels, with the decree of 08/03/2005 of the former Ministry of Communications are established 2 new certificates that are obtained in a simpler way than the SRC, LRC, ROC or GOC:
- VHF-RTF/DSC-EPIRB
- MF-RTF/DSC-EPIRB is required if you intend to operate with SSB (MF) and also includes examinations for VHF-RTF/DSC-EPIRB certificate.
These certificates can be obtained in a simplified form through an examination to be carried out on board and are valid for navigation within 40 miles from the national coast or in the Adriatic Sea.
