Lithium Batteries

Lithium batteries are rechargeable batteries that are very popular in the world of electronics and where a low weight is required.

Lithium batteries, unlike other types, are lighter, often offer greater power, discharge slowly when not in use and have no memory effect.

Unfortunately, lithium batteries do not tolerate being discharged above a certain threshold and can explode under certain loads.
For this reason, the device that uses them must take a series of precautions to request a correct supply to the battery and stop it in case of high load.
For the same reason, lithium batteries are not diffused in the format AA (stylus) or AAA (ministyle) as is the case for other types of batteries.

In the nautical sector, they are very common in portable nautical VHF, portable nautical GPS and electric bicycles.
