eTrex 10 is a portable GPS with a robust structure, long battery life and an excellent value for money. The user interface has been improved compared to the previous model and the world basemap, computerized geocaching, has been added.
Equipped with an easy to read 2.2" monochrome display in all lighting conditions. Robust and waterproof, it is designed to withstand the elements.
The eTrex 10 supports geocaching GPX files for downloading geocaches and details directly to the drive. Stores and displays key information, including location, terrain, difficulty, hints and descriptions. Simply upload the GPX file to the drive via USB cable and start the cache search.
With a high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix® satellite forecasts, eTrex 10 quickly locates and maintains your position in indoor and mountain areas. It is able to simultaneously detect both GPS and GLONASS satellites. GLONASS is a system developed by the Russian Federation that will be fully operational in 2012. When using GLONASS satellites, the time it takes for the receiver to detect a position is (on average) 20 percent less than GPS. In addition, when using both GPS and GLONASS satellites, the receiver can receive signals from 24 more satellites than the GPS system alone.Prices
