In Italy, SAR operations are coordinated by the Harbour Offices, which mainly make use of the structures and means of the Italian Air Force, the Fire Brigade, the Alpine Rescue and the Italian Red Cross, but also the Armed Forces, the Civil Protection and other State Bodies.
