Electric Panel

The electrical panel is an element of the electrical system and serves to sort the various utilities, disconnect them manually or automatically.

The electrical panel on a boat is essential to prevent a short directly on the batteries that could have unpredictable consequences

For on-board instruments, the electrical panel is useful to avoid dangerous failures on these devices that could also affect the entire electrical system on board and the safety of the crew.

The electrical panels are equipped with utilities and each one is integrated with a thermal or hydraulic magnetic switch. If the user requires a greater current flow (as in the case of a short circuit), compared to the amperes of the thermal magnet, the latter jumps, deactivating the user and thus preventing the batteries from suffering a stress with unpredictable consequences.

If the boat does not have an electrical panel, it is important that a fuse is connected to the power supply of each electronic device.
