50 years and looking ahead

Marine Pan Service celebrates its first 50 years today, an occasion that prompts us to look ahead as we try to cleave an unclear horizon.

Best wishes Marine Pan Service

50 anni e lo sguardo avanti n.1

? way back on May 29, 1973, when Marine Pan Service was founded, we knew that that would be an important day and that we would trace a small corner of history.
In the light of these 50 years, our initial optimism becomes a reality and instead of looking back at the history we have drawn over the years, we turn our eyes forward to future plans.

Where we will live in the next 50 years

On May 29, 2073, Marine Pan Service will turn its first 100 years, so what challenges will it face to make it to the distant 2073? The escalation of AI is a possible scenario for which all companies will need to be prepared.

While our gaze is always leaning toward the future, we have always been traditionalists about how we look at "tools." Man has been distinguished by his art of knowing how to handle a tool and through that create another one that is more performant, up to the evolution achieved until a few years ago.

We are therefore completely opposed to AI, bent on taking away from us this art so distinctive of our essence and pressing to turn us into its tool. Clear legislation has been awaited, for at least 2 decades, and without it, the impact is likely to be severe and immoderate. Today one country cannot legislate distinctly, because it would be assimilated by the AI of others. Perfect global harmony could be the solution, but the wills are the opposite.

AI is already capable of replacing professions that schools continue to teach. We need to make our new intents faster and discard assimilated ones now, but institutions cannot go faster than the current pace unless they become pure AI.

Quite a challenge for businesses as well, where AI will assimilate demand away, away, more and more and unexpectedly. However, AI already has needs today, and companies will inevitably have to move toward this new market. While those who continue in services toward human needs will one day find a stronger competitor. By deploying our services toward AI instead, we may even gain some control over it and perhaps turn the tables, turning her into our tool.

Marine Pan Service incites to talk about AI, a problem is realized by knowing it and once identified, it can also be solved.
We are among the most prepared companies to deal with this escalation and are therefore speaking against our own business interests, so we believe our words are important and dictated by our knowledge of this matter.

Plans for our next 50 years

It remains clear that we will continue to offer serivizi for the marine sector as long as we can and with maximum commitment. However, our zest for life has driven us since a few years ago to better plan our future.

The creation of FeX in 2019 represents a pearl of this new strategy. Italy was the first to make the XML Electronic Invoice mandatory, this has allowed us to reach the top of the world in parsing technology for this type of document.
For the purposes of our hunger for longevity, the strategy is clear: as long as invoices are being issued in this world, FeX must remain at the core of these services.

Instead, right now we are working on a parser engine for XML, JSON and our own proprietary protocol, also intended for application by AI. The design is particularly innovative and the performance is significantly better than that of other engines, which, in addition to making the parsing operations more efficient, will result in significant energy savings.

In addition to this we have secondary projects, such as the creation of a site separate from FeX, for the new European Electronic Invoice. FeX and this new site, will increasingly be a reference for API services of the highest quality that software-houses (Italian and European) need.

What's next? We have many projects in the drawer, some in the meantime have become obsolete, and in any case we must be ready to change direction as AI unveils new scenarios, which our imagination at this time cannot reach.
